Unpopular opinion, but so far I’m pretty meh about the best picture nominees.
I just don’t think any of the ones I’ve seen so far are THAT good of movies. My personal current ranking:
1. The Help (not best picture worthy, but at least I enjoyed it)
2. Midnight in Paris (a movie for people who are just like the pedantic antagonist)
3. War Horse (was this a drama? I didn’t stop laughing the whole time; “GUNTHER!”)
4. Tree of Life (horrible faux-intellectual masturbatory drivel)
Moneyball is next. Gotta get em all in if possible.
