I think I touched on this in my response to the first half of your message. But no you are wrong here and I am sorry.
We HAVE to compare public education and homeschooling. We HAVE to compare community college and private universities. We HAVE to compare everything and weigh the pros and cons and figure out how we can make everyone have the best possible chance they can have!
If it’s “unfair” to compare homeschooling to public education because homeschooling is intrinsically “better,” then let’s DO something about it! Make public education more like homeschooling. Granted, you can’t give all kids the level of attention that they need. But we need to STOP “teaching” them the way we are. Hire more teachers. Bigger salaries. Fund that shit. Stop teaching for the test and start teaching how to learn.
If we can’t compare then we can’t advocate for change.
