So I never actually got through all the best picture noms
cause I’m super busy and all that crap.
But anyway, here’s my personal ranking of the movies, with the ones I haven’t seen yet at an estimated position in parentheses.
1. The Artist
2. The Descendants
3. The Help
4. Hugo
5. (Moneyball)
6. Midnight in Paris
7. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
8. War Horse
9. Tree of Life
And I don’t really care about the “intricacies of film” so this is totally based on my personal enjoyment, the level to which I became personally invested in the film, and what didn’t make me want to slit my wrists.
(Can I also just say that I really really liked Beginners and it was an important movie and better than half the ones on this list)
EDIT: I saw The Artist today and this list still stands as is. Only one I didn’t get to see was Moneyball.
